Description of Services Provided

Pharmacy Network Services provides comprehensive pharmacy services to our customer base. Pharmacy Network Services can provide all routine medications, but also has the purchasing relationships with multiple drug distribution centers to obtain unusual and specialty medications not typically stocked in a pharmacy (HIV, cancer treatment, etc.). Pharmacy Network Services can order any medications not stocked and, in most cases, have them delivered within one day. Pharmacy Network Services employs a full-time resource for pharmacy drug purchasing. This resource manages the pharmacy inventory to ensure adequate supplies are on hand, but also works to obtain the best prices from wholesalers to help manage the costs for both pharmacy and facility. On-Site Support Services and Availabilities

Pharmacy Network Services establishes several points of contact that remain available to our facilities:
  • Primary Pharmacy Technician first point of contact for orders
  • Secondary Pharmacy Technician- assigned as backup to primary
  • Pharmacists available for clinical issues
  • Production Analyst available for questions involving drug pricing, formulary, etc.
  • Delivery Manager available for equipment (fax machines, med carts) support or delivery concerns
  • Account Manager first point of contact for all special requests, concerns, planning, any on-site support not involving equipment.
  • President / CEO available for strategic planning, high level status reviews, or any concerns or issues the facility feels have not been adequately addressed at other levels.

Packaging Options

Pharmacy Network Services utilizes AutoMed compliance packaging technology or USP-approved blister cards. Both systems provide an accurate means of packaging medications and help to reduce medications errors. These packaging systems also position the pharmacy and its customers to take full advantage of future technological advances, such as bedside bar-code verification. AutoMed packaging enhances medication compliance, and minimizes the threat of liability on the part of any of our institutions. (read more)
