Daily orders from customers are faxed to Pharmacy Network Services and received in the fax server. The fax server stores all incoming faxes as PDF files. Each file is tagged with the name of the sending facility based on the incoming fax number, and a scheduled delivery time is automatically added to the record by the system based on each individual facility's daily delivery schedule. Technicians can then view all open orders and prioritize those worked first by their scheduled delivery time.

Pharmacy Network Services utilizes the four-step workflow process to dispense medications with a high degree of accuracy and proficiency, yet still manages to offer personalized service to our customer base. All new orders are reviewed by a pharmacist before being filled. The pharmacist checks to make sure the order entered in the pharmacy system matches the fax order, and also looks for duplication of therapy and drug interactions. The orders are then sent to be filled in AutoMed packaging or blister cards, or through the bulk order fill process. Once orders are filled by certified pharmacy technicians, a pharmacist performs a final check of the order and places the order in a package labeled for the facility.

Pharmacy Network Services recommends AutoMed compliance packaging, which offers the most accurate and convenient means of providing medications to patients or inmates and helps to reduce medication errors. Realizing that some facilities prefer traditional blister card packaging, Pharmacy Network Services allows the choice of either packaging system. Either packaging system enhances compliance and minimizes the threat of liability on the part of our facilities.
